In June of 2018 we abandoned our life in the city in an endeavor to become self-sufficient. We moved onto 49 acres of raw land and began bringing our plans to fruition one beam at a time. After a few months building and adjusting to living off-grid we chose to add animals to the mix. We started raising chickens and goats as well as keeping bees and trying our hand at organic gardening. Our desire quickly became to share the peace, natural beauty and freedom we had found while being wholly immersed in nature.

One of the ways we stay self-supporting is by hatching and selling chicks, and fertilized eggs for you to hatch! Keeping chickens has become one of our greatest passions. We love the experience of raising different breeds and experimenting with different egg colors. Currently in our breeding programs we keep: Black Copper Marans, Multi-Generational Olive Eggers, Silkie/Frizzle/Satin mixes, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte’s, and Bantam Calico Cochins. All of our chickens are raised as pets and fed a combination of free range diet and high quality natural and organic feeds.
We are an NPIP/AI clean Farm and offer shipping anywhere within the United States.
Message us any time about availability or to get on the wait list for future hatches. We look forward to hearing from you!
Bee keeping is such a wondrous and exciting experience. The gift of raw, unfiltered, organic honey is just one of the rewards it has to offer. The hum of the hives, the smell of the comb, witnessing the Life cycles cycles of the bees and interconnectedness of the colony create the truly metaphysical experience. We’ve found that we don’t “keep” bees. We create and maintain a safe and useable environment for them to live and thrive in, and then we’re graced when they choose to stay.
Custom Woodwork and Building
If you see it on our land, that means we've built it. We moved out here, onto 49 acres of raw land with nothing but a set of blueprints drawn by Hank, and a small homesite carved out with a concrete slab as a footprint to build for our home. We've designed and built everything here ourselves, with a little help from friends along the way.
Organic Gardening
Pollinators and beneficial insects have a friend in us. We grow food using raised beds and organic products.
Powered by Solar Energy
Our solar set up enables us to be 100% off grid. We're not totally self sufficient yet because we rely on generators to run our well pump and air conditioner. However, our solar set up efficiently operates our lights, water pump, and tankless water heater. If we became unable to use our generators we would face some inconveniences but our solar set up would sustain us.
